Angela has developed a unique branch of her Free Your Voice approach for those who wish to learn to play the Native American Flute. The Native American Flute is a fairly simple instrument to learn, and with guidance, most students can learn to play fairly quickly.
Angela Blueskies teaches Native American Style Flute online in two formats: private one-on-one lessons and in group classes. For both options, no previous musical experience is required, and music reading skills are not necessary.

Private Lessons offer personalized instruction to meet the student’s unique needs, and are tailored to the student’s interests and goals. It is recommended for adult students to schedule lessons weekly or biweekly, allowing time for practice and reflection. Lessons are available in 4-session packages, and the package can be renewed as desired to support ongoing learning. At present, Angela’s client schedule is full, and there is a wait list for new students. Please click here to join the wait list.
Within 48 hours of purchasing your first package of lessons, you will receive a scheduling link that enables you to schedule online. If you do not already have a flute, please reach out to Angela using the contact box at the bottom of this page, and she will assist you in purchasing a quality flute. All scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations are done through the online system, making it easy! Please note attendance/payment policies at the bottom of this page.

Angela’s online Intro to Native American Flute class series is offered through the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC). All registration and payment is handled by CCBC. Learning the Native American Flute
The Native American Flute is a wonderful instrument to use in meditation, while spending time in Nature, for travelling, and even in storytelling. Within a few sessions, many students learn enough simple technique to create a variety of interesting sounds and styles. Angela encourages all students to explore an oral tradition approach of learning to play, instead of focusing on learning common songs and melodies. As students learn to listen deeply to the world around them, and to explore creating music with a deep listening approach, students engage one of the oldest ways of making music ~ one that is inspired by the moment.
Over time, students often create a Medicine Bundle of original songs that can be used in any number of ways ~ from honoring the seasons, the animals and trees, important cycles and holidays, and for ceremonies and sacred fire circles. Learning to play the flute also has wonderful hidden benefits, including expanding and strengthening breath capacity, reducing stress, and making more space in one’s life for creative expression.

Policies:
All registrations for the CCBC class series are bound by the requirements and policies set forth by the college. Please contact CCBC for further information.

All scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations must be done through the online system.
